WRIST-RELATED UPPER LIMB DISORDERS

People with work related upper limb disorders are increasingly being sent to hand therapy for treatment.  For this reason, we include this topic in our Acquired Conditions BAHT Level II but there is enough information on this subject to run a longer course.  The topics we could cover include an overview of terms used and history of WRULDs, possible causation, potential pathologies, physical risk factors, psychosocial risk factors, theories of WRULDs and treatment - including ergonomics.

Feedback for this session from delegates on the 2007 Acquired conditions course included:

Structured well for such a vast topic

Excellent practical tips and v helpful to have hands off approach reinforced

A lot of interesting thoughts – definitely looking at my workstation

Useful overview of treatment and legislation helpful,

If you would like us to run a course on this subject for you, please contact us and we can tailor make a programme for your needs.
