Lacerations and compressions to peripheral nerves can be devastating injuries for our patients. A thorough understanding of the anatomy and recovery potential of the nerve is essential for all hand therapist in order that they can advise their patients about reaslistic rehabilitation. This one day course will teach this as well as looking at each of the median, radial and unlar nerves in turn and identifying the motor and sensory implications of damage. Techniques for sensory assessment can be included as well as workshops on sensory re-education, desensitisation and splinting.
