Gained a distinction in a masters degree "Research Methods for Remedial Therapists" at Kings College, London in 1995.

Established the Wellington Hospital Hand Unit in 1995 - the first multi-disciplinary hand unit in the private sector in London, now known as the London Hand and Wrist Unit. The unit covers all aspects of hand therapy for trauma and acquired conditions from the 19 "in-house" surgeons and many other consultants who refer in for the hand therapy expertise. This incorporates burns, plastics, orthopaedics and rheumatology.

Nicola is now Upper Limb Services Manager for BMI Healthcare. This job involves some clinical practice mixed with strategic development of specialist upper limb services around the large network of BMI hospitals. Such fun!

Teaching experience: Validated courses since 1994 and many non-validated courses in London, Ireland and South Africa.
