FRACTURES

New for 2011, NES have devised a programme at Level II on fractures.  The course will include anatomy of the forearm, wrist and hand, types of fractures and bone healing.  Traige of these injuries will be taught with sessions on interpretation of X-Rays.  Core skills for the therapist will be covered including management of oedema, scars, use of activity and exercise, stiffness and CRPS.  Each anatomical area will be investigated with regard to possible fractures and their mananagement including forearm, carpal, metacarpal and digital fractures.

Join us for this exciting new syllabus. We delivered this course for the first time in the summer of 2011 and found it very popular with the delegates.  If you have done the Level II imaging course - this will complement your learning.  If not, it covers an introduction to reading X-rays and applies this to your everyday work.

Next course is planned for Wed - Fri 28th - 30th November in Hull. Applications are now open and the documents you need are below.  Please contact Karen Bayston at Hull Royal Infirmary with any enquiries.  She can be contacted on 01482 674645 or karen.bayston@hey.nhs.uk
